AKA#4 Day 9 – Accumulator Day

WARMUP: Mosey with some SSH, Merkins, squats, etc
THE THANG: Accumulator! Parking lot burpee accumulator…Burp bear crawl, burps+1, then lunge walk, burp +2, bear crawl, you get the jist. End up on other side of parking lot, 10 Muscle ups on the brick wall. Mosey to front of school, 15 derkins and 25 dips. Mosey down a bit to the columns. Squat Accumulator. Each column squat and add one. 14 columns = lots of squats. Mosey to hill. Run to cone 2 merkins, back to start 1 burpee, 1st cone 2 merkins, 2nd cone 4 merkins, back down to 1st cone, 2 merkins, to start add a burpee. There were five cones = Lots of Merkins

Q vs Q at The Ridge

Well, temperature drops a few degrees and only a few Pax show up for the battle of bells vs bootcamp. A bit of bad timing since another Q vs Q battle was happening down the street between The Fort and The Rock.
We kicked it off with a warm-up by YHC. SSHs, Imperial Walkers, Windmills, Plank Stretches.
Atlas had the first 20 minutes with cones spread out in the parking lot. Exercises (15 reps each) at each cone, back to the middle of the parking lot for 5 burpees. Lots of Kettlebell exercises and burpees. He gave credit to Jekyll for idea.
YHC had the second half. We stayed in the same general area so we could listen to Atlas’ music selection.
Round 1: Bear crawl with merkins at every odd parking space. Sideways crawl around the parking lot island
Round 2: Lunge walk with squats at every odd parking space. Sideways crawl around the parking lot island opposite direct.
Round 3: Crabwalk with LBCs at every odd parking space. Toe taps on curb
Round 4: Inch worm merkins
Round 5 Burpee broad jumps

Back to COT. Great job by everyone. Lots of mumble chatter. As Cohiba mentioned in the video “We are all winners”

Wildcard Wednesday at Bushwood

THE THANG:

Kicking off Wildcard Wednesday for the month of March at Bushwood, Cohiba gave YHC the option to switch things up and Q a workout style of my choice. We pivoted from the traditional boot camp WO and instead logged miles with pain stations.

We utilized the drive at the outer perimeter of the AO and around the school. 1.25 mi and 3 pain stations per lap. 5 burpees and 10 BBSU at each pain station. Most PAX finished 2 1/2 laps for a total of 3.5 mi.

Indulgence Recovery

WARMUP: Monkey Humpers to welcome the new AO, SSH, Windmills, Morrocon NC, Imperial Walkers, Hillbilly Walkers, Calf Raises, and Cherry Pickers
THE THANG: On the football field:
10 Yard Line = 10 Burpees, 20 Yard Line = 20 Shoulder Taps, 30 Yard Line = 30 Squats, 40 Yard Line = 40 Peter Parkers, and 50 Yard Line = 50 LBCS. Round 1 was all those exercises with the mode of transportation being Bear Crawl, Round 2 being Lunges, and Round 3 being Crab Walks; Dora= 100 Merkins, 200 Plank Jacks, and 300 Seal Jacks

NO SURPRISE NO SHOW

Philippians 3:13-14

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Perseverance is something that is not taught, but always in you deep until your mind recognizes it and your soul understands how to use it for good.

This AO has been challenging lately and my injury has not helped to have people accountable. I’m going to continue my efforts on what I can and understand to do which is to never give up and persevere even if it includes drastic changes for the good.

SERIOUSLY…LEADERS…listen close…

As Leaders…inevitably you will encounter something that does not go according to plan… this morning it was my Q at Bushwood.  In short, no one showed….even the site Q opted for the “other workout” (in fairness, he had a good reason 😂) – a kettlebell beatdown by Sasquatch at SnakePit.  

LEADERS…be NIMBLE.  Be willing to ADAPT.  

For me…I grabbed a bell and deferred to Squatch!

BTW…my weinke today only had one exercise… it was going to be a 45 min body destroyer 😉
