Play John Mayer, LBC’s entire song.  During the chorus, each time “Say” is said, stop the LBC’s and do a Crab Cake, 1 “SAY” = 1 crab cake.

Short mosey to other end of parking lot to the coupon (Large rocks) market.
OYO with your coupon 10 Squats at the bottom of the hill, run to top of the hill 1 Mercan.  Then bottom of hill 9 squats, 2 Mercan at top. and so on, cycle is complete once 10 Mercans are done at the top. Rinse and repeat, with curls and over head presses.

Mosey to the Dragon’s alley, where the Dragon caught us and we knocked out our 10 Dragon walks.  People chair on the wall to wait on the 6.  Once the 6 is in, arms out 20 count, arms up 20 count

I reminded the PAX to think of the beggar, drunk, thief, etc..  If it were not for God’s grace we would be in the same position as those, so they need our prayers, not ridicule.

Another Rock Hill Recon

Yesterday morning, YHC was joined by 8 #HIM for a recon of Rock Hill’s newest AO – to be named at a later date. The conditions were nearly fall-like and the AO was pristine. 3 miles and one hour after we started, we knew we found Rock Hill’s newest Saturday attraction.

The Thang

Since this was a recon, we all took a turn leading exercises. We first ran to from ATC to the band practice field where we did 25 pullups OYO. I think we may have done some MNC, Merkins, IW, Windmills, and SSHs.

  • We moseyed to a hill above the track for a burpee/merkin ladder.
  • Then came the tennis court seats for box jumps, merkins, derkins, and dips.
  • We moseyed to the baseball field before we realize we were locked out. Instead we opted for 75 calf raises on the benches between the schools and People’s Chair in cadence.
  • Next stop was the bleachers at the soccer fields for 3 rounds of running up and down the steps.
  • We found a trail back into Meadowlakes II where we did Hello Dollies, American Hammers, an odd variation of Box Cutters, and a few other exercises in quiet cadence as to not wake the neighbors.
  • Then it was back to the school for more running of the stairs and a variety of other forgotten exercises.
  • Back to ATC for sprints in the corridor followed by Merkin Jacks and Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.
  • We took a final mosey back to the globe at ATC where we closed with prayers and praises.

NMM

Color me shocked that it took us 2+ years to recon this location. This one has more fields and real estate than any other AO in the city. I assure you Northwestern High will become one of the favorites in Rock Hill when it goes live 10/8/16.

What a blessing yesterday was. Perfect weather, great spot, and even better PAX. Very excited to see our region continue expansion opportunities. As we get closer to launching and naming this AO, reach out to Peach if you want to get on the Q schedule. This one is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Slow Burn Shuffle

Arriving early I couldn’t help but notice a touch of fall in the air as a light mist occasionally dampened my face. A perfect day to be a part of the gloom. The pax began to arrive and I was quickly reminded that the sport of all sports, aka football, was in full swing. Mumble chatter revolved around a Gamecock victory over Vandy to Schrute’s delight, and Stang’s strain as he kept clenched cheeks during the entire game…which ended with a Vol’s overtime win against perennial powerhouse App State. I checked in with Stang making sure he had not pulled a hamstring, gave him a little fist bump as a fellow longtime fan of Big Orange football, and savored the ugly victory.

10 Abe Vigoda Windmill, 10 count stretch-right ankle, left ankle, and middle stretch. Kung Fu stretch left leg back then right leg back for a 10 count. Lot’s of mumble chatter here as the pax did not realize their legs would contort to this degree. 10 Imperial Walkers, 10 Hillbilly Walkers, and 10 MNC.

Sticking to the the slow burn theme I quickly had the pax give a 1,2 count and formed two lines for a slow burn shuffle going behind the Big Lot’s property around the front of Big Lots, stopping at the side of the building for what the pax thought would be a little People’s Chair action. But No!…I pulled the old switch-a-roo, and I had them mosey up to the dock rail where we performed the following in single count cadence, 25 Clave Raises, 10 Irkins (forehead touch bottom rail without drawing blood), followed by 10 Derkins.

Of course we could not pass the wall so I sent the pax back to the wall where we performed the People’s Chair in conjunction with 25 single count cadence air shoulder presses. The single count cadence lingo stirred up a lot of mumble chatter from a few pax (Apache) who felt I might have been too liberal with the term cadence and my failure to follow the traditional 1,2,3 ONE cadence. To honor my brother I threw in one traditional in cadence count for an extra air press…followed by 10 single count cadence Merkins and 10 single Carolina Dry Docks. Rinse and repeat the rail and the wall to emphasize slow burn, single count, all form, you against you theme.

I took a little time to read the first 8 lines from Amazing Grace and shared a little of my testimony. I continue to be amazed that His grace was provided to a “wretch like me”. As I shared some of my story I am still in awe of Sky Q’s ability to use our vulnerability to reach others. With no shame I share who I used to be and bask in His ability to make all things new!

Form pax back into their 1 and 2 slow burn shuffle lines and head back to the front of the Tawba Bingo lot, passing Wendy’s and Bojangles when I heard a little mumble chatter regarding Wendy’s from The Riddler. Assuming the pax was getting hungry I pulled into Popeye’s for a little take out order action. Line 1 and 2 faced each other. The man across from you is now your partner and each partnership was tasked with running around the take out window to pick up an order to go for the pax. While partners ran the pax performed LBC’s until the first set of partners arrived with the new take out pain order. 11 different partners called out 11 different pain events from Prison Cell Burpee to Box Cutters. Rinse and repeat, and I don’t think a duplicate pain event was called out for a total of 22. Again the theme was you against you…do as many as you can using the correct form.

Form the pax back into their 1 and 2 slow burn shuffle lines and head to the wall near Popeye’s where I had the pax assume the Balls to the Wall position while one bear crawled down the line. To say that the devil “Qdrenaline” had a hold of me was an understatement as many of the pax, including YHC modified to People’s Chair. For those of you that stayed committed to the Balls to the Wall…kudo’s to your strength and your character!

With time wrapping up the slow burn shuffle headed to the AO and the COT. (Note to self…always set up sweepers to check on the 6) Announcements were made, prayer request made, and prayers lifted up to all. Always an honor to lead and be led by this group of men.

Awesome Morning for a “Winged It”

We are not deserving of his grace but he gave his only his only son so that we should not perish but have everlasting life. That is Awesome!!

2nd F lunching @ Kinch’s

12 HIMs meet at Kinch’s for some lunch. I think the rain brought us all together because we didn’t really want to work in the rain. I was already soaked from the rain so I was already done. We had a table for 10 reserved for us but it was not big enough for all 12 so we grabbed another table to make room. That’s a good thing. We all ate and had small talk and learned a little about each other (what we do at work and at home). As we talked and learned more about each other, we saw that many of our paths have crossed before. God always has a plan and a path for us to travel. After we ate, Cool Table talked to us about Cool Table Ministry. He talked about how Cool Table works and what it stands for. He is always looking for donations and volunteers to help out. 9 #HIM came to the Rock for the latest version of Alcatraz. No co-q as thought but I am always prepared to go 2.5 hours if needed. With F3 Lancaster (I am a native of there but moved away 50 years ago, but good times for my 2 years there) starting and VQ at Lake Wylie I was unsure if any Pax would post.

To wall with behind baseball field for 15 dips 15 derkins, two rounds.

Next up Dirty McDeuce upper, mid and lower body.

Round 2 – wide arm, dying cockroaches , jumping lunges
Round 3 – diamonds, flutter , monkey humpers
Round 4 – Carolina dry dock, Freddie, knee tai jai
Between rounds run up and down The Hill (steepest in region )
Pax had fun chancing Shark Bate.

30 minutes done and Trucker said rince and repeat. So we did 2 rounds of derkins and dips. But I am always ready to keep going and do not ever use a weinke.

So we did a starfish inspired by Walker. That brought some moans as they new it would suck.
The four starfish stations were:

100 LBC
100 Squats
50 pike presses
Between the each station do 10 burpies.

Clean trash in outfield and mosey to blocks in parking lot.
Grab coupon : 20 tri extensions, 20 curls, 20 skull crushers, rinse and repeat
