Ranch Relays

Let’s try this again… slack doesn’t like my backblasts and the first one I wrote for this was may more epic-er
WARMUP: lap around CoT parking lot and circle up for stuff including SSH until first PAX quit – 51 to be exact

THE THANG:
Ranch Relay
Split into 2 teams to compete against each other in relay race where each team member took a turn to complete about a 30 yard out and back with a 45lb plate. While not doing the out and back the rest of the PAX completed various core work including LBCs, flutters, shoulder taps, and Freddy mercuries.

First race – mode of transportation was overhead rifle carry

Second race – mode of transportation was right handed suitcase carry

Third race – mode of transportation was left handed suitcase carry

Fourth race – mode of transportation was overhead rifle carry

After each race PAX took a break from racing with 5 burpees OYO

Tie goes to the Q and thus my team was crowned the inaugural Ranch Relay champions

After relays, we moseyed to the car line loop near the entrance to the other school.

We did an accumulating ladder with laps around the pickup line loop except we scaled the retaining wall on each lap.

Moist Shovel Flag Transfer

Mist and drizzle at 0445 but it was raining hard at my house so I knew we were going to get wet.

WARMUP: rucks off, yogging around parking lot and warm-a-rama including plank and various doggy-named stretches, in-cadence SSH, Windmills, MNCs then ruck on and walk around parking lot

THE THANG:
3 sets of 11s with shortening travel distances

Set 1:
Ruck on
Ruck shuffle full length of parking lot
Merkins on one side, squats on other side

Set 2:
Ruck off
Suit case carry between first two parking lot jut outs
Squat thrusters on one side, bent over rows on other side

Set 3:
Ruck off
Bear crawl ruck pull throughs on field between fence and random pile of clothes
Manmakers on one side, curls on other side

BAOPS Ladder Fun

When a shieldlock brother sends the late night text that he needs a sub, you gotta answer the call.

WARMUP: lap on the paved trail and circled up for IC warm-a-rama Goofballs (except for the liver eaters who are too cool to do those), various plank based stretching, mtn climbers, shoulder taps, MNCs

THE THANG:
BAOPS Ladder
Accumulating bear crawl/crawl bear ladder with exercises at every tier (took about 30 minutes)

Bear crawl to 10 yard mark and do exercise and crawl bear back to start line – SSH for the 6

Bear crawl to 10 yard mark and do exercise then bear crawl to 20 yard mark and do exercise then crawl bear back to the start – SSH for the 6

Continue accumulating adding 10 more yards each time until you finish the 50 yard ladder.

B for Burpees – 10x at 10 yard mark
A for American Hammers – 20x at 20 yard mark
O for Overhead Claps – 30x at 30 yard mark
P for Plank – 40second hold at 40 yard mark
S for Squats – 50x at 50 yard mark

10 count recovery

Mosey around path to left field corner (top of the road with the long hill.

Partner up for classic DORA – 100x merkins, 200x squats, 300x LBCs – partner runs about 2/3 down hill to the 3rd rock and back as the timer

Mosey back to basketball courts and do a 50 yard lunge walk

MARY: circled back up on basketball courts and did IC core work – flutters, American Hammers, Freddie Mercuries, dying cockroaches and finished off with merkins

Loop loop-a-doop

Today happens to be the day before YHC’s 6 year F3 anniversary

WARMUP: It’s STL. Disclaimer and out
THE THANG: Leg it to Front St/Birkshire Heights. PAX will run at least two loops, stopping for each STOP sign for 10 BBSU and 10 Merkins

Moderate Manion

Found out this morning that there are some differing opinions of what a moderate AO means…

WARMUP: Disclaim and mosey between Vape shop and Empire. Circle up for SSH, shoulder taps, merkins, mtn climbers all in cadence.

THE THANG:

The Hammer route w/traffic pain.

WARMUP: run around the parking lot stopping at 5 stations to do exercises and show the PAX the exercises and stations to follow for the rest of the work out.
THE THANG: Five stations, 10 repeats per stations, with 5 different exercises. Between station 1 and 2 add a stop and make a burpee everything you get to a car running against the traffic, run faster to avoid or reduce the amount of burpees.

MARY: a lot of complains about the amount of burpees, all the PAX pushed them selves to the limit.

Ladders, sandbags and Merkins

WARMUP: Moroccan night clubs, windmills, hillbilly walk
THE THANG: divided the pax into two 4 men teams, two ladders, plenty of sandbags… loaded up the two ladders with 2×60# sandbags each, picked them up, sat the ladders on shoulders and started walking; a timer will go off every two minutes to remind us to do 10 merkins with rucks on. Pick up and the ladders and go around the soccer field, big loop, every time the buzzer went off (2 minutes) we did 10 merkins, completed one big loop and dropped the sandbags and transformed the ladders on A frames, 1 pax will carry the ladder overhead or on shoulders and go around the small loop while the other 3 pax will toss the 60# sandbag until the ladder comes back around, switch ladder to next pax, each pax had the opportunity to go around twice. The buzzer reminded us of the 10 merkins every 2 minutes.
Opened up the ladders again and this time we loaded them up with 160# each, farmers carry around the small loop, buzzer every two minutes for 10 merkins each time.

Backblast! QvQvQvQ Finale 2024

WARMUP: River Rat led us in Side Straddle Hops and Windmills before taking off to the RV Lot
THE THANG:
Anchor Bar kicked things off:
Starfish routine with coupon:

Ex 1 – 30 Jump Squats
Ex 2 – 30 American Hammers – DC
Ex 3 – 30 Big Boy Sit-ups
Ex 4 – 30 overhead Flutter Kicks – DC
Return to the center after each exercise for 5 Manmakers.

Since Esso planned to use the same parking lot he went next.
6 groups of men and exercising in cadence while one group member plays with Cindy:
• Mountain climbers IC > 5 Cindy Manmakers
• SSH IC > 10 Cindy swings
• 6 ct burps IC > Cindy overhead carry
Message: Ignite your fire, use F3 as your fuel, let the fire spread. :fire:
Next Homer led us out the entrance to a brand new feature of the AO. Stairs to the overflow parking lot. There we had 4 coupons and they started with the 4 Qs then passed among the PAX on each trip up and down the stairs. Each PAX also stopped for 10 squats at the top and bottom portions.
