Not alone

I was not alone in this Thursday morning as five others showed up for an 0615 sunrise to run around Kingsley.

I placed three buckets full of adventurous exercises with -some- complaints about how surprisingly hard pain I seemed to be delivering via slips of paper that were randomly chosen.

We prob got in about 1.5-ish miles of running as we chased each bucket to reveal a rough painstation.

Thx for the opportunity to contribute to the cause.

COT: Blessed by the presence of Cornhole! he reminded all pax of the truly powerful source The Fort is to fuel each of us. he knows it well bc of the absence in his daily life since his move to Chester. may those of us who drink from this fountain truly appreciate what it offers!

Thanks to virgin Dawn Patrol pax (Quack and CK) for adding DP to their itinerary. we’re gaining traction — 8 pax is a new site record!

Thanks to Cake Boss for passing the baton to me in his absence. always an honor to lead.

Dawn Patrol On the Rise

When: 0615 Tuesdays and Thursdays

Site Q: Double D and Jekyll

Where: Tuesdays: Veteran Park; Thursdays: Kingsley Amphitheater

Slack channel: #ao-dawn-patrol

The Thang:

One of the opportunities we are afforded as leaders is to step up and lean in when there is a vacuum, or an opportunity presents itself.  We have identified a need for a later posting time.  You name the reason: fartsack, Kotter, work from home, kids schedules, etc. For going on 12 years, The Fort has been Open to All Men (willing to workout at 0515).  We’re expanding the access in 2024!

We now have 2x per week 0615 workouts.

Tuesdays: Fort Mill Veterans Park: Run or Ruck

Thursdays: Kingsley Amphitheater: Bootcamp

If you feel the 0615 time will work for you, we look forward to seeing you in the Gloom.

Also- this is a great opportunity for a double down!

Aye!

Out-and-back Zone 2 Run

THE THANG:
Simple run form Veteran’s Memorial Park to toward 77 on 160 (taking the long-way around WEP). ~4 miles, but add a loop or 2 through down-town to get 5 miles (like Vuvu did). For several pax, the jog was light enough to keep their heart rate in Zone 2.
