WARMUP: Q source foundation point 1 – Disruption
THE THANG: saddled up with rucks, one 40 lb sandbag, one 60 lb sandbag. Off to the races for a few miles and smiles.

We took off towards the school, through the kid pickup line, into the back of the school, then way up the bus back road to Dam road. Then all the way back for 2.5 miles.

On our adventure we discussed the Disruption socratics and Spurs. Talked about what leaders are and what they aren’t. Shared GrowRuck stories, practiced failure in how to, and how not, to transfer a sandbag, and went over the game plan for Wooden Leg’s upcoming VQ!

22 Men got better today:

Run to Office Parking lot: 15 Merkins and 15 CDD

Run to Gold Hill Elementary teacher parking lot: 20 LBC and 20 Hello Dolly

Run to Gold Hill Middle teacher lot: 15 squats and 15 Lunges

Mileage ranged from 3-5.  Great job.

intro to the 8 Blocker

Performed 8 blocker goals exercise while moving across parking lot. Perform a std exercise while listening to instructions on what goes in each box. Mosey across parking lot to other parking spot where performed different exercise while listening to instructions of what goes in the next box. 8 boxes total.

4. 1stF fitness goals for the year and for the first 13 weeks.

when you can’t run you walk

WARMUP: we listened to the disclaimer from Poppins
THE THANG: we waddled to Sutton and back and discussed the 53+ miles Maximus did during the 12 hr Hagler event. The 31 miles YHC did during the Spartan Ultra. And the table that Badlands wrestled with that broke his knee. There was an Anchor man flyby.

not scared of the woods

WARMUP: grabbed tools from truck
THE THANG: Ruck around the nature trail below the school. We also cleared two stumps from the trail and cut multiple roots that were problematic (greater than 4inches above surrounding trail surface or underside exposed.

THE THANG: venture into the woods to get some fresh air and miles. Reviewed sermon from church and reflected on how God has called us to serve where we are currently and to not wait for the “perfect” opportunity.
