Prison Break

Several pax were delayed this morning due to the police presence along Springfield Parkway. Warm-ups were performed in the parking to make sure an FNG did not arrive, dressed in orange or black and white stripes. Typical exercises – SSHs, Imperial Walkers, Wind Mills, Plank Stretches, Peter Parkers, Parker Peters.
Next, we moseyed to the end of the road at the back of the school. It took a couple minute to explain, The Traverse. Partner exercise – Partner 1 runs to the next light pole, 5 squats, back to partner 2, both run to the next light pole, partner 2 runs next light pole, 5 squats, back to partner 1. Continue pattern back to the school.
Once back to the school, we did a series of exercise combinations in the parking lot. Lunge walk, squats; Reverse lunge walk, Calf raises; Bear crawl, merkins; Crawl bear, CCDs; Crab walk, LBCs and Burpees broad jumps.
For the remaining time, we did two rounds of step ups, derkins, and dips followed by a lap around the parking lot. With two minutes left, we had time to burpee broad jump to the flag.

Saying hello to Colosseum

WARMUP: SSH
THE THANG: Run to Colosseum, 15 Mac tar jai’s; run back to StL, 5 Jack Webb’s; repeat again; run, 15 CDD’s; run, 5 plank Webbs; repeated by the gazelles

Mini QSchool for 7 min: For pax that have never Q’d, schooling given on proper cadence; given an exercise to lead pax in: SSH, merkins, American hammers

WARMUP:

– SSH x 20 (IC)
– Hamstring stretches (left, right, middle)
– Quad stretch (left and right)
– Yoga like movements

THE THANG:

– Mosey from WEP to hill at Massey . Up and down the hill 3x. Burpees at top (15-10-5) and Merkins at bottom (15-10-5).

– Mosey to Print Shop. Pull ups, 3 rounds, max. One partner does pullups, other partners does step ups.

– Mosey to Hardees Parking Lot. 4 Corners Elevator. 10 Merkins, 20 LBCs, 30 Plank Jacks, 40 Shoulder Taps. Add an exercise each corner on the way through, drop an exercise at each corner on the way back. Pivot Squat, Bear Crawl, Backwards Run from corner to corner.

– Mosey to FM Pharmacy for a quick round of exercises while gathering The Six.

– Mosey back to WEP. PAX led Mary while gathering The Six.

– 10 minutes of F3 “Cube of Exercises”. PAX took turning rolling and performing determined exercises.

– Back to COT to finish up with Airborne Hip Exercises.

Do Great Things Today

After the disclaimer, we began our journey around town. First stop, the pharmacy for some warm-ups (SSHs, Imperial Walkers, Fast Windmills, Merkins, Peter Parker, Parker Peters). Next Stop, the former location known as Hardees. Partner exercises: Elevated merkins, feet on back of partner in plank position. Second set, planking partner elbows on ground.
Next stop, Post Office. Lineman push – partner 1 pushes partner 2, flipflop.
Next stop, Unity Church. Partner wheel barrow to the stairs of the church, each rest break 5 merkins. flipflop. mosey to Footloose parking lot. One partner started the bear crawl to the end of the parking lot. Partner 2 ran to the end and back to take over for partner 1. Both finished at the end of the parking lot. Next , we moseyed to the bottom Williamson St. All you got to the top of the hill. Once all made it up the hill, I took a minute to talk about how I get ready for the day. Take a shower after the workout (good hygiene). I look into the mirror and repeat these word “I am going to do great things today.” Sounds a little silly, but we need men ready to lead in our communities..do great things.
ok, back to the workout..on our way back to COT, we stopped by the Print Shop for a pitcher of pull-ups. Back to COT for a few minutes of Mary.

It Was Mostly Moderate

WARMUP:
Slow MIle Run to Molokai Drive and back. Circle up in the fire dept parking lot for COP

THE THANG:
COP: SSH x 20, windmill x 10, merkin x 10, jump squat x 20, Carolina dry dock x 10, cherry picker x 15, Morrocan night club x 40. Al Gore hold x 60s, Rosalita x 15, Freddie Merc x 20
Walk to the tall pull up bar: Burpee pull up x 5. Everyone gets a turn. While the Pax waited, we did Al Gore, plank hold, and LBC’s
Mosey to the ledge behind the baseball diamond for 11’s. Derkins and dips
Mosey to the playground and break into 3 groups. 2 rounds of pullups (10), ab exercises, and step ups
Mosey to the bottom of Tara Tea for mini quadzilla. Nur up the hill, 5 squats at the top, run down, 5 squats at the bottom, Repeat 2 more times.
Mosey to the soggy field for Airbornes Killer Abductor routine (crowd pleaser)

The warm temps brought out the Pax today and the mumble chatter was in abundance. We covered a good bit of the AO , including the field which was a bit soggy. The whining about getting wet in the field was also in abundance – c’mon men! Back in the day, no one would have thought twice about laying down in a wet field…….It was a pleasure to lead the group today and always the best way to start off your Saturday mornings. Thanks for the Q spot, @Uber!
