WARMUP: Quick lap around the main parking lot (not going behind the stores), then circle up for the following, 10-15 of each:
– SSH
– WM
– IW then HW
– MNC
– Strawberry pickers
Then mosey not too far from COT for….
THE THANG:
Ladder of Deconstructed Burpees
A loop of .25 mile was set up, the same one we used as a warmup.
Do the exercises, then run the loop. The idea was in each round, you do an exercise that is part of the standard burpee.
Ascending ladder (run a lap between each round)
Round 1: 1 burpee + 10 hand-touch squats
Round 2: 2 burpees + 10 hand-touch squats + 10 (2ct) mountain climbers (10 each leg)
Round 3: 3 burpees + 10 hand-touch squats + 10 2 ct MCs
Round 4: 4 burpees + 10 hand-touch squats + 10 MCs + 10 merkins + 10 jump squats w OH clap
Descending the ladder (run a lap between each round)
>> Take off 1 burpee and 1 exercise
Round 5: 3 burpees + 10 hand-touch squats + 10 plank w leg crunch/extensions + 10 merkins
Round 6: 2 burpees + 10 hand-touch squats + 10 plank w leg crunch/extensions
Round 7: 1 burpee + 10 hand-touch squats
>> Rinse and repeat

  • One evolution is 16 burpees, 70 LSS, 50 MCs (2ct), 30 merkins, 10 jump squats

Everyone got at least 2 full completions of this evolution (ascend then descend is one evolution), and started another full ascension. Overall, everyone got at least 3 miles. Good push by everyone.

Rabbit:
Divide into two teams

Every man runs 25m and nurs 25 back and the completes 2 squat jumps and 2 burpees.
WWR but add 2 reps to each exercise after each trip out and back. Team with the most reps in total wins.

In addition, each team selects 2 pax to hold Cindy’s above head … Cindy can't drop below the head… if they do the team loses their count and starts over at zero

15 minutes of work.

After time expires, Hold AlGore and plank while the preacher preaches about asking for help and looking for a brother that might need it. (Let's do this for each other men!)

Last 4 minutes jail break 50m and do 5 Big Boys… again but do 10… keep adding 5 and sprinting until time expired.

Stage Coach:
Partner work
Partner 1 will run to the other side of the field and back to partner 2. Partner 2 will be doing an exercise that slowly progresses across the field until Partner 1 returns and switch. Continue switching off between running and exercises until you’re across the field.
Exercises – Bear Crawl, lunge, broad jump burpee, crawl bear and reverse lunge

Results:
Stage Coach won two categories, but Rabbit also won two and had the most overall votes. Win goes to Rabbit.

Great work by both Qs sharpening their leadership today.

March Madness

WARMUP: SSH, Imperial Walkers, cherry pickers, runners stretch, merkins, mosey then some merkins, squats, bigboys
THE THANG: Partner up, split up 100 merkins, 100 dry docs, 100 dips while partners alternate running length of earth fare parking lot. Ladders. Partner up, split up 100 big boys, 100 6 count flutters. Ladders. Partner up, split up 100 squats, 100 lunges, 100 merkins. 5 burpees or so to round out the workout.

Fishstix was away and was alloted the 1st 20 minutes. We moseyed up to the top lot at The JOC. He led us in a series of partner work. Shouldered partner resistance mosey face to face, Patty Cake Merkins, Partner Get Ups. Round 2 was Wheel Barrows, Leg Throws and Partner Cliff Hanger Merkins.

Our man Flair subbed in for Slopes who sadly came down with the sickness. Flair stayed in the cross regional partner up and called AMRAP work together. No Cheat Merkins, Big Boys and Squats – take a lap. Remember your time as you are always challenging yourself. Next round same workout but beat your AMRAP from Rd 1. Take a lap. Stop at soccer goals and line up in Groups of 3. Suicides across the parking lot. Partner 1 takes of, Partner 2 planks and Partner 3 burpees until all partners complete suicide.

Both brought great VAPE however Fishstix pulled away by the tightest margin. Kudos to Flair for throwing together a great workout in little to no time. Kudos to Fishstix for taking the Dub.

The Tortoise and The Hare 2026

At the 3rd Annual Relay Race, the forest hummed with excitement as the tortoise and the hare stood side by side at the starting line, founders turned friends. This year’s course twisted through mud, up a stubborn hill, and into a breezy stretch of tall grass, and the crowd cheered as unlikely teams dashed and trudged in harmony. A swift fox handed the baton to her steady porcupine teammate, who climbed the hill one patient step at a time and crossed the finish line to thunderous applause. The hare beamed, the tortoise nodded, and together they reminded everyone that speed may spark the race, but teamwork carries it home.  🐢🏁🐇

The Tortoise and The Hare is a relay CSAUP with equal amounts of Ruckers(Tortoises) and Runners (Hares). Teams must consist of 2 or 4 players.

26 miles per team
Teams can mix and match who runs and who rucks, but it has to alternate between running slick and rucking.
E.g. Person 1 runs lap 1 slick. Person 2 rucks lap 2. Person 3 runs slick, person 4 rucks, etc. until all laps are complete.

This year, teams can be mixed. M’s and 2.0’s are welcomed to be part of the teams. Handicaps will be awarded based on the mix of the teams.

Rules:
Each person runs a lap on a track as fast as possible, handing off to the next leg.
Ruckers MUST keep one foot on the ground at all times. Essentially power walking. NO RUNNING with a ruck.
For men (16+) ruck weight has to be at least 30#.
For women (16+) ruck weight must be at least 20#.
Teams with respectables (55+) will get a 60s handicap per respectable at the end of the race.
Teams with women will get a 45s handicap per woman at the end of the race.
