Break from rucking

I normally ruck on Tuesday so this was a nice change. Beautiful morning, temperatures are really great this time of year. Go time hit so quick disclaimer then yog down the main drive. Did some butt-kickers, high knees, and karaoke along the way. Circle of for some warm ups, normal fare but ended in mucho chesto (10 regular merkins, 10 wide arm, 10 diamond, 10 right stagger, 10 left stagger, 10 ranger) – arms are smoked after this. Jog to loop in front of school. Bear crawl length of parking spaces, jog to end for 10 bombjacks, jog to start of parking spaces, lung walk length of parking spaces, jog to end for 15 merkins, jog back to start of parking spaces. Rinse and repeat. Jog over to lot between schools. Leg pyramid: 10 plank Jack’s, 20 lunges, 30 mtn climbers, 40 squats, 50 seal Jack’s, 40 squats, 30 mtn climbers, 20 lunges, and 10 plank Jack’s. Short mosey around lot to shake legs out then over to benches. 15 dips, 10 box jumps, 15 dips, 8 box jumps, 15 incline merkins, 6 box jumps, 15 decline merkins, 4 box jumps, 15 dips, finish with 10 box jumps. Circle up, each PAX are doing lunges while one by one a PAX does 3 burpees. Went around the horn twice with that. Mosey back to cars to finish with a few mins of Mary. Over by the track between the two schools we had 5 cones setup along one of the straight away.

Starting at the first come you are to travel by recommended mode of transportation to the each come. Each round will have two sets of exercises. Switch exercise at each cones

Rd 1 – lung walk, merkins 20, dips 20
Run a lap
Rd 2 – bear crawl, lunges 20, squats 20
Run a lap
Rd 3 – side lung walk, merkins 20, dips 20
Run a lap
Rd 4 – sideways bear crawl, lunges 20, squats 20
Run a lap
Rd 5 – rotate between bear crawl and lunge walk, LBCs 20, leg raises 10

Next moved to some super man’s for 5 rds and then finished off the workout with Airborne hip specials.

The Loop of Pain

WARMUP: none

THE THANG: Hot zone (starting point) 20 Jump squats, 15 Merkins, 10 Peter Parker’s, 5Burpees and Run 1/4 mile loop. Pain station Large fire :fire: truck tire and flip three times. Run 1/4 mile to next pain station and Bear crawl between cones ending with 5 Merkins. Total of 75ft with 25 Merkins. Run 1/4 mile back to hot zone and repeat process.

THE THANG: (1) Sharks & Minnows [3 rounds]. Round 1 & 2, Dads are sharks [MOT = 1-legged or 2-legged hops]. Last minnow left picked exercise for group. Round-1 = Kraken Burpees (Dads x 10, 2.0’s x 5), Round 2 SSH ( 10/20), Round 3 Dads as Minnows
(2) Family Cone drill: Run as family to each Cone. Family does 1 Merkin & 1 Squat-Jump / member. 2nd cone x2, 3rd cone x3, last cone x4
(3) Ruck Cones: 3 Packs available (5lbs, 15 lbs, 30 lbs). Crab-Walk to Cone-1, Walking Lunges to cone-2, Bear-Crawl to Cone-3, Nur back to start

Out-and-back Zone 2 Run

THE THANG:
Simple run form Veteran’s Memorial Park to toward 77 on 160 (taking the long-way around WEP). ~4 miles, but add a loop or 2 through down-town to get 5 miles (like Vuvu did). For several pax, the jog was light enough to keep their heart rate in Zone 2.
