Shower Curtain was on Q, but no showed. The PAX stepped up

WARMUP: band camp led

THE THANG: rebound had a cardboard workout in his car. It was very arm heavy. Bells at one end and partners. Cumulative 120 reps of things at the far end. The bell exercises were AMRAP (and very arm focused). The AO isn’t called the Legory.

Band Camp led then for movement between two parking spaces. 10 swings, bear crawl, 10 cleans, bear crawl. Eventually that shifted to 5 man makers, lunge walk with a pass through.

Backdraft led us to the wall.

Return to COT via a modified over head carry and indigenous peoples run

THE THANG: Tabata workout. 3 rounds of 6 exercises. 45seconds work, 20 seconds rest.
Exercises: curls, front raise, standing row, tricep extension, oh press left, oh press right
Mozy to bigger parking lot at front of church.
Pt2- Crystal Lake- start at 13 squats, MOT to next set of parking spots was near crawl with bell, then 12 squats. Around the world MOT to next parking spots. Repeat and decrease by 1 rep until finished

suits, chalk and reflections from Meditations – Book 8

WARMUP: Tiller warmed up PAX and then kettlebellera split with YHC
THE THANG: the deck of cards – spades = squats, diamonds = merkins on the bell, hearts = hammer curls, clubs = swings burpees when a 5 gets drawn and a lap was run every 10 cards.

Upon completing each lap, pax planked for one thought from Meditations book 8 by Marcus Aurelius.

MARY: Time for a few flutters with the bell held high.

Where is everyone???

Worked thru 20 reps each of the following. Then one carried sandbag and other carried empty keg overhead down parking lot aisle and back. Rinse and repeat. If had more people, the exercises would have been OYO and you work until your turn to walk the aisle with choice of sand bag or keg.

Birdcage’s Ladder

WARMUP: SSH, squat, dynamic plank warm-up with upward<>downward dogs, high plank and various exercises from high plank position
THE THANG: Jacob’s Ladder – 9 through 1 – alternating KB snatches OH on one end of ladder, 4-count mountain climbers on other end of ladder; mode of transportation = pass-through forward lunges with KB “up the ladder” and pass-through backward lunges with KB down the ladder.
Curb Workout- [hand on bell and other hand on curb – merkins in cadence x5, LOW squats in cadence x6, KB swings x7 OYO, KB curls x8 OYO, KB OH triceps ext x9 OYO] x4 sets
single arm KB rows x6 each arm, KB RDLs x10, KB american hammers x7 double-count

Birdcage was supposed to be on Q, but recently fell from a ladder taking down Christmas lights, hence the title of the workout. Apparently he’s doing alright, but sending prayers his way nonetheless.

Grandpa’s Shieldlock

WARMUP:
Mozy around the parking lot, stopping at corners to do exercises. Cherry Pickers, SSH, merkins, imperial walkers, hillbilly walkers and flutters
THE THANG:
Round 1: Shower Curtain and Long Duck did a Dora. Partner runs across the parking lot while we do 100 each cumulative reps of curls, chest press, shoulder press.
Round 2: Rebound led a Tabata 3 rounds of five exercises. 40 seconds of work and 20 seconds of rest. Each round was chest press flutters, LBC, KB swings, lawnmower pulls left, then right.
Round 3: Lighthouse lost his mind and started us off with a Dora consisting of 50 man makers, 50 goblet squats, 50 tricep extensions. Back to COT
MARY: merkins but it was 6😂

WARMUP: Yes, some of the usual
THE THANG: A circle of 5 stations of 10 reps each with bell. after each station we traveled to the center point and back in varying modes (lunges, bear crawls, etc). Total of 50 reps per circuit represented 50 yrs of pain as a Tecas Rangers fan, heading into Wolrd Series game 1 later on 10/27.

we made it through 4+ circuits.

NOTE: this is posted 10 days later and Rangers are champs!!

Shieldlock Shakedown

WARMUP:
3D started us off with a nice warm up for a cool day. YHC missed some of it, but there were windmills and Moroccan night clubs.

THE THANG:
38 brought us down the hill behind the pull-up bars where we did the dragon walk (look it up). Starting at the bottom and stopping at each tree for 10 BBSU, then continue to the 4th tree (that’s 3 sets of big boys). Nur back down and one more day set.
Cubbie instructed us to grab a Cindy each and we lined up in the street facing the school. 15 reps of the following with a full karaoke up the road, and mosey back between sets
1. Arm curls
2. Tricep extensions
3. Chest press
4. Forearm curls
Then a quick relay with the Cindy to determine who would win the prize of not doing 10 kraken burpees while the winners put away everyone’s blocks
