BAOPS worthy – don’t do easy

WARMUP: Run to the back of the fields 5 burpees, windmills (for trucker), 4 burpees, low slow squats finishing to peoples chair while doing Moroccan night clubs. Mosey to pull up bars. Plank while each pax did 1 pull up (for trucker). Mosey to hole #2
THE THANG: the intention was to play 9 holes of golf. Squats at the tee box followed by burpees at the green rinsing and repeating over 8 rounds and a grand total of 72 each. On the first round – halfway to the green, the golf course staff had other plans and firmly asked that we leave the course. So……we played 9 holes of golf in the street taking our ball, squats and burpees elsewhere. We also did 10 double count monkey humpers in cadence facing the golf course access road. 30 ish minutes and two ten counts later we were complete with a total of 72 squats, 72 burpees, some running of hills in between and on to part two – four corners.

Part two – this looked much better on paper. Goal was 4 rounds. We got to 2 rounds before the clock demanded a return to COT.

Corner 1 – 7 krakens, 2 hand release merkins, 22 lunges (11 per leg). Crawl bear to corner 2

Corner 2 – 7 diamond merkins, 2 krakens, 22 squats – run to corner 3

Corner 3 – 7 merkins, 2 diamond merkins, 22 monkey humpers, bear crawl to corner 4

Corner 4 – 7 burpees, 2 squats, 22 wide arm merkins

Time was called at 0725 when Maximus and Vuvu rolled in from a long hilly 9 plus mile BRR training run to join us for……

MARY: 5 minutes of stretching – desperately needed and welcomed by all.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: 10 year anniversary is coming. Events running the week of 9/10 to 9/17. Get your hall passes in order.

COT: Praise for Bonsai’s two year anniversary of recovery from heart episode. Praise for the men of The Fort and prayers for continued discernment and patience in our homes and within our concentrica.

NMM: When we were asked to leave the golf course 10 minutes into the workout, the plan had to change. For the unprepared leader an event like that may have brought about a circumstance for which they weren’t prepared. Fortunately, for us, we are surrounded by HIM who help us know that remaining prepared and modifying for the unexpected is part of being the leaders we are called to be in our communities, workplace, and in our homes.

So…..always be ready for the expected, but prepare for the unexpected. Good reminders of that faced us in a small way this morning.

It’s always a privilege to lead at BAOPS – the site of YHC’s EH eight years ago. Great work by all pax this morning on a sticky and humid Saturday. Thanks to Skipper for the opportunity. Until next time……

Honored,
Cyclops

Omaha, Omaha! These streets have no name.

WARMUP:

Got the WOD inspiration from Florida Georgia line day before while working the BoFlex. Board of Pain w/ acrostic SIMPLE.

Decided rk take 1 of 2 routes, hit WEP, run laps starting from playground OR run to QT and instruct the 12 to use discretion to stop, wait for 6 and execute BOP.

Rolling in and catching an earful of healthy mumblechatter, decided neither. We will run randomly to dimmly lit parking lots and execute BOP.

Ran up to the old Kimbrells for a little warmup.

– Low slow squat with a jump at the end. @darkhelmet informed me that it was called a squat jump

– imperial walkers

– shoulder taps

– stretches

THE THANG:

An arbitrary count if 15 for each exercise.

Board of pain:

S Shoulder taps
I Irkins
M Monkey Humpers
P Plank Jax
L Lunges
E Burpees (burpee has an E in it)

Run to 1887 Brewery, BOP

Run to the government building on the left on way back, BOP.  After much debate, no one knew what building it was and we found ourselves back at Kimbrells.

By then we started to spread out, causing more chaos.

Run down, take left at Amor and hit parking lot on left, BOP.

Per Jihnny Utahs request, hit Litte Caesars, BOP.

Run past COT, on left side of street, hit parking lot with kong brick wall, BOP.

Head back to COT for some Mary.

COT:

Quoting ZBB “ I have everything I need, nothing that I dont” was a pleasant reminder on being content and thankful for your blessings. Happiness is fleeting but joy is eternal.

Rather quiet, everyone’s life must be perfect.

NMS

I explained this was a clear demonstration how not to Q a workout.

You need to be flexible and know your PAX but you must be able to articulate clearly amidst the chaos of the gloom especially with the strong mumbkechatter hell bent on throwing you off and distracting you.

I personally wouldn’t have it any other way and am thankful for the PAX that showed and their relentlessness. Blessed to have this brotherhood in my life and always am appreciative to serve at BP.

It was a hot humid morning in The Fort at Sweep The Leg. We had 6 pax post to start the week right.

Mr. Hugh Midity

I recently asked Badlands for a Q At Sweep The Leg. He gave me June 13th and I accepted the assignment forgetting that was the Monday after a week at the beach. Vacation is rough on the body. But all in all it turned out fairly well. Ran one of my fastest miles 7:42 pace that morning and it all went quickly  downhill from there. Noticed a fairly large gathering for my Q which was obvious since I’m a celebrity in F3. Noticeably missing was Bobber.

The Thang

Told everyone what the plan was at 5:14. Which was, run to Berkshire Heights meet at the stop sign. Go clockwise around Berkshire stopping at every stop sign and doing 5 Hand-release Merkins, 5 X and O, 5 Jump Squats. There are 6 stop signs all the way around and one big hill the last 1/4 mile. The next loop add 5 more reps to same exercises for 10 of each. Everyone got over 2 loops some pushed for 3. Finished with 3.35 miles the others got 4. Thanks Badlands for the Q I enjoyed hearing the complaining  from the Pax.
Last thing men. Let’s show the world what a real man looks like. Be kind to strangers even if they think differently than you. Hold the door for a lady as she exits the store. Open the car door for your wife. Go buy her womanly things without bitching about it. Say your kids prayers at night while tucking them in. Push the buggy back inside the grocery store. Love you guys more than you will ever know.

Prayers for Decibel son Noah and his recovery

We had the following exercises and reps that we did for 5 mins straight.

5 man makers

5 burpees with ruck on

Then for active recovery we would ruck for 2 mins
