CMPD Challenge

Intro and disclaimer. Discussed the reason for the type of workout.
WARMUP: MNC, Wind Mills, none discript produce pickers. Mosey to 1station.
THE THANG: Ran across the street and up the hill. Continued warms with HB Walkers, Imperial Walkers, down dog, up dog then mosey. First of 10 stations and broke into teams of 3.
1. Step ups -100- Each person will participate and as a team work on getting all 100 down. While one is working the others encourage. Once complete, mosey to 2.
2. SSH- 100- Rinse and repeat, mosey to 3.
3. Bear Crawl as a team 50 yards. Mosey to 4.
4. 100 Flying Squirrel- Rinse and repeat, mosey to 5.
5. 100 Tricep extensions- Rinse and repeat, mosey to 6.
6. 100 Air squats- we had a pax leave, so we completed at a full team. Then i talked about the reason for the Challenge race put on every year and the importance of service. Mosey to7.
7. 50 big boys together, mosey to 8.
8. 50 merkins together, mosey to 9.
9. 50 jump squats together, mosey to 10. COT
10. 50 Monkey humpers.
MARY: None. Did some yoga stretching by Huffy.

We moseyed a bit with some but kickers and karaoke as we made our way to the center of the Gridiron for a few warm up exercises.

Thang 1: Bench mench: step ups, dips, squats, inclines, derkins, calf raises

Thang 3: parking lot climbers: at each line of parking rows, do 20 mtn climbers.
Thang 4: bear crawl: from paint to stop sign
Short mosey run to bottom of the hill

Ass Kicking April – Yard

WARMUP: Mosey to warmup – SSH, windmill, imperial walker, cherry picker, hillbilly walker, Moroccan nightclub, merkins, calf raises.
THE THANG: Mosey to parking lot with track to complete 7 of diamonds – 4 laps around the track with 4 sets of an exercise. 7 merkins at each (4) station, 14 squats, 21 flutter kicks, 28 LBCs… utilizing the same parking lot, complete exercise from one end to the other – toy soldiers, lunges, bear crawl, karaoke 2… Dora after that – 100 squats, 150 M.C (D.C), and 200 LBCs. End with dips and then a job around the lap.

10-20-30 for Bass’s Bday

WARMUP: Mosey then SSH (57 times for Bass’s bday), windmill, imperial walkers, hillbilly walkers, moroccan nightclub, and cherry pickers.
THE THANG: Started off on benches – 2 sets, 10 each – step ups, inclined merkins, and dips. Mosey to wall – wall sits while bear crawling 2. Mosey to light poles where we did 10-20-30 of each exercise utilizing 3 light poles with runs between. Exercises were lunges, Carolina dry dock, squats, LBCs. Hit the wall again for more walls sits and bear crawls and then mosey back to Mary.
MARY: Gas pumper, American hammers, peter pointers, Freddy mercury, box cutters, and superman’s.

Sweet and Spicy at The Fort

WARMUP:
Peach Stand started us off with the warmup of SSH, Imperial Walkers, and possibly a few others gone from memory.

THE THANG 1:
PeachStand instructed Pax to pick a rock from the piles behind the amphitheater (and to choose wisely).
The “thang” was a ladder to “9”, starting with 8 Mike Tysons right behind the amphitheater, and 1 bomb jack at the entrance of the parking lot (up the hill). The mode of transportation running (or walking briskly) with our coupon held straight over our heads. Harry Carry did more running than anyone (perhaps even more than the rest of us combined).

THE THANG 2:
YHC took over and educated the Pax on the rules of a Webb-o-rama. 4 cones set up along path in front of the amphitheater. On each cone were 2 exercises to be done in Jack Webb style (1:4 ratio)
Cone 1- 1 6-count Burpee : 4 SSH
– >> Bear crawl to next station
Cone 2 – 1 Big boy sit up : 4 American Hammers
– partner wheelbarrow to next station
Cone 3 – 1 Knee tar N’Diaye : 4 Squats
– partner wheelbarrow to next station
Cone 4 – Traditional Jack Webb –
– >> Run Around parking lot, up the hill to the entrance, then back to first station
Instead of doing all 10 reps at once, we broke it up into 3 rounds.
Round 1: 1-5
Round 2: 6-8
Round 3: 10 (skipped 9 since we ran out of time).

The Board of Pain isn’t that hard. It isn’t completable in 45 minutes. But it ain’t about finishing, it’s about seeing how far you can go!

– You accelerate when other men are striving alongside you

There are plenty of harder workouts. But the Board is doable by ALL MEN. Be present and try; that’s all it takes! You don’t have to get far; you just have to go.

We ain’t getting it all done today, but today’s effort still matters!
