Not alone

I was not alone in this Thursday morning as five others showed up for an 0615 sunrise to run around Kingsley.

I placed three buckets full of adventurous exercises with -some- complaints about how surprisingly hard pain I seemed to be delivering via slips of paper that were randomly chosen.

We prob got in about 1.5-ish miles of running as we chased each bucket to reveal a rough painstation.

Thx for the opportunity to contribute to the cause.

Fuzzy balls and random things

WARMUP: we had 3 track runners and 3 boot campers…so the runners ran away. SSH right out of the gate, merkins, low slow squats, maybe a burpee…sadly didn’t write down the warmup and I don’t remember but it was cold – I remember that part…and we ran away trying to get warm.
THE THANG: pearls on a string was the jam.
5 burpee, run. Saw some benches so did 10 step ups (or 20 if you’re Twister) and 10 dips…then saw a random fence with a swing and a ball and junk inside the locked gate – weird.

10 bomb jacks to go with 5 burpees…more running to other school where twister had to make a pit stop. So Sugar and YHC did more dips on the curb and then added 15 gorilla jumps (squat jump but you touch the ground with your hand), then the 10 BJ, then 5 burpees….more running.

Back of school added 20 merkins, then 15, 10, 5. Ran back up to middle school by the gym and found more benches for step ups and dips – 10 each. Then did 25 LBCs, 20-5 of the above exercises.

Ran down the cool bridge tunnel thing to the field for 20 flutters – and all the above. Saw our friends running so joined them for a lap.

15 hammers once we left the field and cross the bridge – and then all the above. Then ran back to COT.
MARY: quick round robin of Mary where Twister was happy his infamous gas pumpers got to be called out.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: most definitely
COT: cmon man

Alabama route was called, with some tweaks to get us to 6 miles. Several pax started early and/or ran late to get up to 12 miles. YHC took video of the most pax, and thus felt inclined to post this backlist.

Most Dry Burn

Start of the workout there was NO RAIN!
WARMUP: Slow mosey around the parking lot where PAX gather to get the heart rate up and warm up the muscles. Then pentagon up for 10-15 of the following:
* SSH
* Windmills
* Imperial walkers
* Big arm circles, forward and reverse
* Strawberry pickers
Then move over a couple rows of parking spots to…..
THE THANG:
Round 1: 10s
Progress through 10 parking spots, do an exercise at each parking spot, then a movement to the next spot, do the next rep of the exercise, same movement to the next spot, and so on, until you get to the 10th parking spot. Turn around and repeat, but with different exercise and movement. Reps increase by 1 with each parking spot….starting at 1, then 2, 3, 4, …..10 reps. That makes 55 reps of each exercise.
Exercises, movements:
1. Merkins, lunge
2. LSS, lunge
3, CDD, bear crawl
4. LBC, crab walk
Great mumblechatter throughout! Then on to….

Round 2: Lucky 7s
7 exercises, 7 reps each, 7 rounds
We moved over to Lowe’s to get under cover because it started raining a little and Twister did not want to be out of sorts and wet for McGospel.
7 exercises:
1. More merkins 4ct
2. More LSS
3. Situps
4. Flutter 4ct
5. American Hammer 4 ct
6. Mountain Climber 4ct
7. Monkey Humper 4ct
We got through 6 rounds before we timed out and had to go to COT.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Read your newsletter! Get involved.
COT: Asked each PAX for a prayer and praise. We lifted them up to Him.
We got a little wet, but it was not cold and we are not made of sugar, so we did not melt away. Great way to start the day!

Thanks Peach Stand for the opportunity to lead!
