The Armory 13

A bakers dozen (13) pax came out to the Armory.

Started with: SSHs, windmills, imperial walkers, Moroccan n/c, Low slow squats, big arm circles, peterparkers, plank stretches.

Then into a tabata/HIIT routine: 45 seconds ON exercise, 15 seconds rest/transition. The sets were:
Set One:
KB Swings
Side bends
Tricep press
Goblet squats
Burpees (without coupon)

Set Two:
Curls
Shoulder press
Bent over rows
Thrusters
Mountain climbers (without coupon)

Set Three:
Bob & weave
Standing rows
Alternating revers lunges
America Hammer
Merkins (without coupon)

In between of each set we did a short run.
Rinse/repeat sets.

Finish with some mary: Flutters, freddies, box cutters, LBC

Less is more

WARMUP: mosey to the track around the courts.  Windmills, imperial walkers, Moroccan night clubs, merkins, shoulder taps, stretching.  
THE THANG: 5 rounds of 20 & 23’s – 20’s on one end of the track and 23’s on the other – 20’s alternated between LBC’s and Freddy’s.  23 were squats alternating between regular and sumo.  

Next round of 5 – 20 SSH’s and 23 of your choice of merkin (wide arm, regular or Diamond), except the 4th round.  PAX did monkey humpers – just because.  

Next – Tabata – 40 secs on 20 off for 5 minutes

Minute 1 – merkins
Minute 2 – Freddy’s
Minute 3 – SSH
Minute 4 – LBC’s
Minute 5 – Wall sit of gratitude

4 minutes of Broga closed us out at 0715

THE THANG: Cinco De Mayo History lesson. Fun exercises while the PAX learned. Cinco De Mayo is a celebration of the victory of the Battle of Puebla De los Angeles in 1862.

The leader of France was Napoleon III: 10 Nolan Ryan’s each side
France: 6000 troops. Mexico: 2000 troops. 2 laps around the track.

THE THANG: Mosey to band lot, HIIT workout. 45 seconds work, 15 seconds rest. 4 rounds of each. Merkins, Squats, Burpees, Mountain Climbers. Mosey to Pull up bars. Try to get 4 sets of: Pull Ups – 5, Dry Docks – 20, Big Boys – 20, Diamonds – 10. Mosey to front parking lot for Mary.
MARY: All X25 – Flutters, Hello Dolly, Freddy Mercury, Rosalittas, Box Cutter. Mosey back to COT for cool down stretch.

Stop chasing me

WARMUP: YHC arrived 2 min early so was on time. Gather the troops and ran off to the drop off circle for a warmup. Included: windmill, low slow squat, merkins, hillbilly walkers, downward dogs, honeymooners.
THE THANG: Ran to the playground. Partnered up. Parter 1 was the timer so would run around the small track and tag Partner 2 who was doing AMRAP exercises. Exercises included: merkins, squats, pull ups, dips, step ups, derkins, American hammers, shoulder taps. Once you maxed out, you’d hold plank, Al Gore, or hang on the bar.
MARY: Ran back to COT with a few exercises along the way. Did a few exercises at COT in a rotating fashion.
