THE THANG: Zipper: 3.2-3.8 miles of neighborhood hate. 10 merkins and 10 squats at every cross street between Spring and Unity. If the reps dont kill you the hills will. Always a #crowdpleaser and you are better (albeit #smoked) after.

MacGuyver was the #King today- no surprise. B.O.B was up there and Grout was in top 3 or 5? #triplehate Bash Brothers: State Farm and Jackalope came back to swim at the pond for the second week in a row. Also great to see their dads. Keep your eye on Cousin Eddie. He’s rising fast!

2:00 Minute Drill

Warmup: 50 SSH IC

Mosey up “the hill” all the way to Harris Street stopping roughly .2 miles for 12 Merkins IC
Run down Harris to a Church Parking Lot for another 12 IC Merkins
Took a Right down a street towards WEP. Stopped in Pike Parking Lot for 12 More Merkins IC
Stopped at the corner by 160 for 12 More Merkins IC
Circled back to the Parking Lot by the band stand for 12 More Merkins IC

At the Parking Lot we did a 2 minute Drill. Every 2 minutes a timer would go off and we would have to run up to the smaller parking lot by the road. Throughout the routine the PAX
would execute : 40 Burpees, 80 Squats, 120 4-CT Flutters. (the flutters were a real crowd pleaser)

Finished up there at around 5:48 which meant a nice mosey back towards COT stopping along the way to do 10 HR Merkins at each stop sign. We did 10 more at COT to get us to 150 Merkins for the day

Once we got back to COT we had time for a short AB filled Tabata 45 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest. Exercises were:
LBCS
Hello Dolly’s
Hammers
Big Boy Sit-ups
Plank
Burpees.

Took us right to 6:00

THE THANG: Moseyed around WEP and side streets and stopped periodically to perform the following exercises: 30 merkins, 30 IC flutter kicks, 30 squats, 5 burpees. Completed 6 stops total. Total mileage 1.5 – 2 miles.

10 count: Imperial Walkers, windmill, squat, merkins, lunge/reverse lunge, shoulder taps, Low Slow squats, mountain climbers, SSHX20, 5 OYO Burpees
THE THANG: Classic pearls on a string. Sequence of exercises: Merkins, Squats, PlankJacks, Lunge, SSH. Count sequence: 10, 9, 8, etc. Run stops: Church of Christ, Loom, Hobos, Animal Hospital, another church, Town Hall, 3rd church, even another church, you get the idea.

Old school beat down

WARMUP:

THE THANG:
Set up 6 cones across about 40 yds
Each cone you do an exercise and move to the next. After completing cone 6 you run a lap.
Rd 1 – odd cones 10 merkins
           even cones 10 dips
Bear crawl between cones
Rd 2 – odd cones 20 squats
          even cones 20 Apolo Ohnos
Lung walk between cones

Next we made our way to the lower lot with the wall near the Springs building.

7s reduced to 5s were called with jumping up on the wall.
Flying squirrels at the bottom and squats on top of the wall

To kill a few minutes we lined up for wall squats while each Pax took turns doing 2 burpees down the line

Next was the Motivator. If you are unfamiliar with this exercise it consist of a reconstructive SSH. Full SSH, arms up to your shoulders, no arms, just the jump. Start at 10 for each and work your way down to 1.

Last we had a jail break for COT

Miles with a side of Murph

Last night I was settling down for bed and decided to get on Slack to see who was Q’ing before deciding where to post this morning… Jekyll had just posted that Minnow Pond was without a Q so I felt the calling to volunteer.

WARMUP:
0514 Pledge

Disclaimer then a mosey to WEP playground area – SSH, cherry pickers, IWs, Arm Circles, Merkins all IC

THE THANG:
Miles with a side of Murph –
OYO 5 pullups, 10 merkins, 15 squats then run WEP loop

rinse and repeat until 0550ish

Fishstix tried to keep up with McGuyver for a while – the rest of us were….. slower. Most got 5 or 6 rounds in before time to head back to COT.

MARY: Got back to CoT with about 4 minutes to spare so got some solid Ab work in – Freddy Mercury’s, flutters, LBCs, Leg Raises, and 6 American Hammers before YHC rudely interrupted Vuvu to declare 0600.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
This workout didn’t take a lot of planning or thought – that was kind of the point. Keep it simple was the plan this week. Put in hard work and don’t over-complicate things in life. Do this over and over and good results will come.

THE THANG: DORA from Hell. Get a partner in crime. Do these things as your PIC runs the length of the field and back.
