Kingsley Loop is a thing

WARMUP: I warmed up the PAX with CLEAR instructions
THE THANG: Fartleks on Kingsley Loop, not Kingsley loop. Notice that one is a proper name and one is well, not. Run laps alternating moderate and fast pace. Rabbits got 5.
MARY: No Mary

Naked Man Moleskin: I had it worked out. But I guess I need to do a better job of Vision Articulation, Persuasion, Exortation. *Noted
Fort Mill Pax are the best around!

Sharknado Again?

WARMUP: We ran 1/4 mile and did the usual except for SSH’s they suck and Hill Billy Walkers are better.
THE THANG: Sharknado was called again because I’m not original and couldn’t think of anything else to do, so twice in a month seemed fine to me. Also I know how much Trucker loves it. The hand release Merkins where just for Cyclops. Here’s how it went.

10 Burpees / Run down Hill and back to top
20 Hand Release Merkins / Run down and back up
20 Big Boy Sit-ups/ Run down and back up
20 Monkey Humpers / Run down and back up
20 Scorpion Dry Docks / Run down and back up

Goal was to do entire cycle 5 times, most made it to three complete rounds. This shut up the mumble chatter very quickly as we got 3 miles in just three rounds.

MARY: Returned to COT for 5 minutes of stretching as I try to do at end of all my Q’s.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Dam To Dam Golf Tournament is Friday December 9th at 10:00AM Waterford Golf Club in Rock Hill. Contact Stang with any questions.
COT It was done.

T E Y H R D A

17 enjoyed my Q at the yard on Saturday Oct 22.

We stretched a bit at the beginning and then moseyed to start a Thang from a weinke I had done at the Yard three years ago.

Paired up

We ran to the back driveway and at each light pole was an assignment. Each pole had one letter of THEYARD, except for the excitement that the letters were out of order. You had to Jog to find the next letter. Lots of grumble.

T

Merkins (10)

E
LBC (25)
Dying Cockroaches (25)

Y
Mountain climbers (25)
Grave diggers (20)

Overall I would say it was a big hit and everyone loved my Q. I’m sure I’ll be asked to Q again in the near future.

Adventure through the Isometric Inferno

WARMUP:
Hoist three 50# sandbags on your shoulders and mosey to the office.

THE THANG:
On this adventure, we exchanged the sandbags every 75 yards ( est. ) and rotated them from shoulders, to left shoulder, right shoulder, front shoulders, waist carry and bear hug carry.
1st stop: The office – all rotated twice through a 30 dead hang on chinup bar, dip hold, plank hold, and low squat hold with rucks on and/or holding the sandbags on our shoulders.

2nd Stop – we advanced into the middle earth of the mtn bike trail in front of Gold Hill Middle and stopped and dropped the bags at some benches and cycled through rounds of a 1/2 dip hold with right leg hold crunch, then decline 1/2 merkin hold, then 1/2 dip hold with left leg hold crunch and then another decline 1/2 merkin hold.

3rd stop – we practiced teamwork in moving the sandbags across the Gold Hill nile river system and scaled the Denali like and gravel based hill to the electrical substation. We each chose a very attractive tree for 20 low slow squat row tree humpers.

Olaf drew our eyes to his exquisite trail markers along the way salvaged from historical snow plow extractions from the road.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Thanksgiving convergence. Olaf travelling to Waxhaw on Black Friday to pontificate on the virtues of Q Source.

COT:
Following a really crappy day at work, and a sleepless night because of it, today’s Q could not have come at a better time.
It was already scheduled several weeks ago, but perhaps a higher power was at work here, knowing that today was the day I really needed it. I knew I would feel better after some physcial exercise, but the pax who provided me with a laugh or kind word really put me back in the right frame of mind. At the close of COT, I felt 100% better. Thank you, men!

We had a great group today and the mumble chatter and jokes made for a really fun workout. It was a pleasure to lead the group as always, and I’m truly thankful for the pax of F3. I gotta give a shoutout to our juniors, Ironclad and Bowser, who are regulars at our Saturday workouts and are developing a really good habit for life. Keep up the good work, guys!

Prayers for the F3 Pax affected by the deaths or illnesses of mothers and grandmothers (Bassomatic, Boogie Down, Uhaul).

Prayers for my friend Joe with cancer and the continued recovery of my co-worker Justin (Covid). Traveling mercies for the several HS band students on the road this wknd for competitions.
