THE THANG: ran to Walgreens for 4 corners. 10 merkins, 20 LBCs, 30 squats, 40 flutters. 3 rounds. Mossy to Bare parking lot for 6 rounds of Rugby Sprints. Mossy to Lazy Day for 5 rounds of Mary, ran the parking lot, then 4 exercises on each minute to kill the last 6 minutes

4 Corners at the Sink

Fall weather is upon us with morning temps around 57 degrees and ready to work. YHC was excited for my VQ at the Kitchen Sink thanks to Farmers Only. I have a tendency to get stuck in a rut attending the same workouts each week and this call out introduced me to a new opportunity.

I prepped by reviewing previous backblasts and Q Source. I wanted to incorporate a leadership lesson into the Q and settled on the 4 corners of the school which matched the 4 Quadrants of Q Source.

WARMUP:

THE THANG:

Round 1
Starting at the corner of the school
5 Man Makers
10 Rows
15 Curls
20 Flutter IC
Shuffle to next corner then rinse and repeat

Round 2
10 Shoulder Taps
10 Lunges
15 Squats
20 LBCs IC

At each corner, we discussed a Quadrant from Q Source

Get Right
– A man cannot Get Right by himself
– You are maintaining your fitness for reasons outside of yourself

– A HIM influences through word and deed
– A habit can be positive, negative or neutral

– Leadership is influencing movement towards advantage

Fort 12 Year Anniversary

Bermuda Triangle

THE THANG:
Bermuda Triangle which consist of running a lap around somewhat triangle shaped loop.

Pit stops along the way

hand off to Senator. Longest Indian Run in The Fort. Stop and try to do some pull ups. Many others actually did them. Keep going to bottom of hill. 10 Bomb Jacks and then to COT.

Four corners and dropped passes

WARMUP: SSH, Moroccan night clubs, Trucker not approved windmills, mountain climbers
THE THANG: started with one lap around WEP to get our blood pumping then back to start to assume the plank position. Did four reps of plank jacks, mountain climbers, shoulder taps, Supermans. Rinse and repeat with 8/16/32 reps.
Mozy to parking lot for four corners. Broken out by upper body, lower body, abs, and everything. Corner 1: 20 reps of merkins, CDD, Plank Jacks, wide arm merkins. Full lap to get to cone #2: 20 sumo squats, calf raises, monkey jumpers, bomb jacks. Full lap to get to corner 3: 20 big boy sit-ups, American hammers, box cutters, LBCs. Full lap to corner four: 10 burpees, 20 SSH, Mountain climbers, one leg merkins.
Mozy to COT for football warmups. Pax took turns being qb with remaining pax rotating in at wide receiver. While wr ran a post, remaining pax alternated between Al Gores, Squats, Merkins, American Hammers. Each dropped pass resulted in 2 burpees. (We did more than we should have)
Final parting wisdom…the mind quits before the body does, and somehow/some way it all gets done.

What a way to start my 50th birthday.
Short mosey run
Warmup: SSH (12xI/C); windmills; Imperial Walkers; Low Slow Sqts; big arm circles; peter parkers; parker petes; plank stretches
–mosey Run to awesome parking lot across from First Baptist Ft Mill– Thang 1: Burpee relays, Start at baseline.
Run to cone 1, do 5 burpees, run back to start
Run to cone 2, do 5 burpees, run back to start
Run to cone 3, do 5 burpees, run back to start
–mosey Run to Ft Mill Church of God–
Thang 2: leg lift loop dora: Partner 1 runs loop, other does leg lifts (we held onto the fence) cumulative to a 125 leg lifts

Thang 3: Mtn climber relays: Start at baseline.
Run to cone 1, do 15 mtn climbers, run back to start
Run to cone 2, do 15 mtn climbers, run back to start
Run to cone 3, do 15 mtn climbers, run back to start

Subbing to the oldies

WARMUP: no messing around and got right to business knowing mumblechatter would be strong. Mosey around parking lot and stopped for cherry pickers, windmills, low slow squat, merkins, imperial walkers.
THE THANG: went to the tire / oil change for some partner work.
Partner 1 AMRAP step ups while partner 2 ran around building. Did this 3x because why not.

Ran through the smell zone to the church for more partner work.

Partner 1 AMRAP decline merkins while partner 2 ran around the circle lot. Did this 2x with round 2 for urkins.

Ran down the street to the fountain for more partner work (and we changed partners at each station I forgot).

Partner 1 flutter while partner 2 NUR up the hill to the fire station (for backdraft) and then ran pack to partner 1. Did this 2x with round 2 being LBC.

Ran up to fire station for 2 min of burpees because…just because.

Back to COT for 3 min of Mary.
