Blast from the Past

WARMUP: We welcomed two pax from years past and far off locales, Chino Grande and Uncle Sam! Then we got after it.
THE THANG: Based on a late night call from the bullpen by Cake Boss, the plan all along was to include the pax. We did some warmup moseying, then found our way to the far West side of the school and proceeded to follow a pearls-on-a-string path driven by each pax in Fartlek style. Each pax picked a destination, a form of transit and an exercise for the group once we reached the destination. Then he passed the baton to another pax. In each case, the pax shared how long he’s been posting and a bit about what brought him out to F3 and kept him posting. All learned, and all sweated. A good morning with welcome friends! Christmas Convergence

WARMUP:
THE THANG:
Broke out into two groups. Half went with Soup to Nuts to the football field and half went with Sprocket to the grass field
Warmups were done at the workout sites

Spoke 2: Rd.1 25 Bomb jacks, bear crawl to the center hub; Rd.2 80 mountain climbers, broad jump to the center hub; Rd.3 50 shoulder taps, crawl bear to the center hub

Spoke 3: Rd.1 50 American hammers, bear crawl to the center hub; Rd.2 100 calf raises, broad jump to the center hub; Rd.3 100 Side straddle hops, crawl bear to the center hub

Spoke 4: Rd.1 100 Flutter Kicks, bear crawl to the center hub; Rd.2 80 mountain climbers, broad jump to the center hub; Rd.3 50 LBCs, crawl bear to the center hub

After 26 minutes Group 1 and Group2 swapped workout sites and did the workout.

The Round up

WARMUP: yea, we did that. Ran around. Some SSH. Some Carioca, Some Imperial and Hillbilly walkers, Ran some more

Mosey away for a reprieve. So a little leg work for the 6 and mosey some more

Pre-Convergence Convergence

There were Ruckers and runners.

Barry Manilow led the runners for 5+ miles around The Fort.

The bootcampers were led first by Maximus with a SSH x Merkin combo x2 to warm up.
After a quick warm up, the weinke was
10 merkins, 10 mountain climbers (double count) at each of the 9 swings around the park. When done and waiting on the 6 to fill in, hold an Al Gore. To wrap up, starting at the bottom of the grassy hill from the parking lot, flutter kicks, then burpees at the top of the hill.

Cake Boss took second shift with playtime at the playground.
Partnering up, one partner does squats, while the other runs around the playground. Then flapjack. Next was pull ups/merkins following the same format. To wrap up, keeping the same partner, one bear crawled across the field and run back, while the other did flutters. Flap jack until 3 rounds were done.

Fogerty took us home with some 11’s and hill repeats.
At the bottom of the hill with the statue, started with 10 merkins and bombjacks. Half way up the hill, 5 burpees, then 1 squat and big boy sit-up. No burpee on the way back down the hill. Repeat until 11’s are done cutting out the burpees when you hit 5 & 6.

This was a fun 60 min bootcamp.

F45 Cornucopia Workout

Cold morning at Slow Burn. I set up a number of workout stations in the parking. I was tempted to set it up outside F45, but I decided not to start the day being an A-Hole (wait for the sun to rise).
Started with a mosey around the buildings, back to the start point for COP (SSH, Imperial Walkers, Windmills, and Plank Stretches).
Next, we partnered up for the workout stations. Partner 1 ran a lap around the parking lot while Partner 2 performed the exercise. Rotation after both partners completed exercises.
Stations
1. Squat with 60# sandbag
2. Box jump/set up
3. Kettlebell Curl
4 Jump Rope
5. Plate Crunch
6. Ab Wheel
7. 40# Sandbag Burpee

We covered cover 2 miles and 2 rounds of exercises

78 is magic number

WARMUP: windmills, low slow squats, Moroccan nightclubs, windmills
THE THANG: jog down to elementary school loop and find a home along wall. 2 rounds of wall sits and elbow planks. 13s (since it’s Dec 13) was the main course. Bottom of hill 1 merkin, run to top of hill to pull up bars, 13 pull-ups. Back down for 2-11, you know the drill. If you couldn’t do a pull up then 3 second dead hang per pull up. Ended up with 78 pull-ups and pushups. Had time for a quick Mary of leg raises.

Real or imagined?

WARMUP: mosey to the bus loop- various exercises I/C and 5 burpees – just because….
THE THANG: 12’s – running the bus loop pax did burpees at the entrance and squats at the top of the loop. Maximus was king

PAX did abs until the six was finished.

Mosey to the band lot starting at the south goal line:

Bear crawl to the 20 – then 20 shoulder taps

Lunge walk to the 40 – 15 squats OYO

NUR to the 20 – 5 kracken burpees OYO

Bear crawl to goal line to finish in time for COT
