COT: The theme today was built around Struggle because the Summer Steam has kicked into high gear and the core of the F3 engine for me is Shared Suffering. These pax suffered through a tough workout with grit and encouragement throughout. The Struggle in the Gloom can be hard, but the hardest struggles come once we leave the parking lot after COT. The suffering life deals is real and difficult. And the personal struggles that exist inside the heart and mind can be the toughest of all.
Don't believe the lies in your head that other men aren't struggling. We all struggle, from the sharpest and fittest Nantan to the gimpy pax trying to get off IR. DON'T STRUGGLE ALONE! The reason we post is to build the grit and the brotherhood that will get us through every struggle!
Appreciate the contributions of all throughout the workout and in COT!
Thanks for the invite JWOW! You were missed.

Muggy morning but 20, yes 20 PAX showed their intestinal fortitude by taking on the board of pain. Several new comers to the board and everyone did great! We even had an FNG brought by Mater. It was also my 50th birthday! Honored for everyone to come out and work hard.

No warmup just run around Baxter for loops. Ecuador is in South America too.
YCH and Cohiba had the pleasure of leading 18 men for a Last Call and Cyclops birthday beatdown at Alcatraz. Here’s what we did:
Warm-Up:
The Thang:
Mosey around the field
Handoff to Italian Job
NMM
It’s always a pleasure to start the weekend with some friends in the park. Though we could have done without the heat and humidity, it nonetheless set us on the right path for the day. Happy birthday, boys. Hope it was a good one!

The Thang: A little warm up and a jog to the track where some sort of Baxter Pineapple thing was going on. There were men, women, and children all exercising together… sketchy if you ask me… but then again, you didn't ask me…
We started the main event with a burpee half mile, 5 at each “corner” for two laps. Those of us that elected to wear our training bras weren't the biggest fans, but that's the way life goes sometimes. Shifted gears to a Midget Dora (50-75-100) with a 50yd run.
Cohiba’s watch started talking dirty to him at that point and so we departed to separate ourselves from the dudes running with other dudes’ wives…
Ended with a 4-corner jaunt and a jog back for some Mary.
NMM: Whatever you gotta do, freaking do it. Ask for help, make a plan, it doesn't matter. The main thing is, stop making excuses, stop stopping, and do the thing.
WARMUP: Headed over to Walgreens for typical warm-ups (SSHs, WMs, IWs, CPs). Next we partnered up for a DORA (Merkins, Squats, LBCs). In error, I said for partner 2 to run around CVS which is 2 miles away. After the awkward silence, I quickly corrected myself and said Walgreens.
Next we moseyed to the wall behind the oil service place. Same partners, one ran around the building while the other performed an exercise (Step ups, Dips, Erkins)
I traveled to the back of Harris Teeter for wall sits. Pax on each end bear crawled out to the curb, 5 merkins, crawl bear back. Next round, lunge walk, squat, reverse lunge. We got to experience the aromatic scents of the trash barrel bottom.
We made our way to the front parking lot. Back to the partner exercises. Each team grabbed a boulder, +2 squat thrusters at each parking space line. Partner 2 ran to the second light pole and back. Each team finished at the 20 thruster mark.
Back to COT
WARMUP: Mosey around the side lot and back to COT for warm up of exercises all in cadence
Seal Jacks – x12
Windmills – x 6
Imperial Walkers – x12
Hillbilly Walkers – x12
Plank
Merkins x12
Shoulder Taps x12
THE THANG:
Partner DORA – Partner 1 runs, Partner 2 exercises with the kettlebell then vice versa until all exercises are completed
50 -Thrusters
100 – Hammer Curls
150 kettle bell swings
Plank upon completion and on to the U v U
PAX completed 60 seconds of the following exercises – as many reps as possible with breaks in between.
Flutters w/press
Man Makers
Goblet Squats
Clean & Press – left side
Merkins on the bell – left side
Clean & Press – right side
Merkins on the bell – right side
Round 2 – attempt to do more than round 1. Ran low on time for the final 3 exercises
MARY: No time
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Read your newsletter
COT: Remains the 5th core principle
NMM:
The Q is responsible for the outcome of any exercise. YHC had not led a kettlebell workout in some time, and it may have showed.
The final 3 exercises of round 2 were unable to be done by 0600 due to YHC's lack of planning. Thankfully the PAX were gracious and willing to reduce their final intervals to 30 seconds in order to make it to COT in time for 0600.
I suppose it could alternatively be argued that the weinke was enough to take us just past 0600 and, in that moment, learned the application of modify as necessary.
Either way, thanks Bam Bam for the opportunity to lead.
Gratefully.
