Sidewalk Shuffle

After a quick disclaimer and discussion on the overnight tech outage, we got started.
Warm-up exercises: SSHs, IWs, WMs, CPs
Lap around the parking lot
Sideway Shuffle:
One pax completed a shuffle while others performed an exercise (Merkins, CDDs, burpees, flutters, LBCs, Hammers, Squats, Lunges, etc)
Shuffle sequence:
1. Arm Shuffle
2. Erkin Shuffle
3. Toe Taps
4. Derkin Shuffle

After each round, we ran a lap.

Keep it simple, keep it stupid

WARMUP: Mosey about 3 feet to the left into the parking lot for SSH, Imperial Walker, Low Slow Squat, Moroccan Night Club, Little Baby Arm Circles
THE THANG: Run out of the parking lot and clockwise around the path to where the wood chips go from the top of the hill to the field.
Dora with 100 merkins, 200 squats, 300 LBCs. Partner runs down the hill and back up.
Next was 11s starting with 1 pullup and running to the end of the wood chips for 10 bomb jacks (was going to be BBSU, but a well placed #TWSS knocked that information out of my head)
Mosey clockwise back around the path to the parking lot to grab a soccer ball.
Took turns with a kicker and 3 chasers. Kicker would give the ball a swift kick and start doing SSH. The chasers would run after the ball and the first one to touch it got to bring it back while those who lost did 3 burpees.

Running Backwards Uphill

WARMUP: SSH, merkins, BROGA x12 minutes
THE THANG: partner up for 5 stations x 2 rounds
1. Partner merkins
2. Partner leg throws
3. Alternating burpees with partner
4. Alternating 20# ball slams with partner
5. Combined 15 pull-ups with partner (TIMER)

Dynamic warmup: toy soldier, butt kicks, high knees, Carioca, toy soldier lunges, power skips

Hill Time…
Partner up- partner A NUR until rest needed as partner B jogs and encourages, switch until A & B reach the top… award for 1st place = no burpees, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place teams receive 2, 4, 6, and 8 burpee rewards, respectively
Repeat x3
One more NUR uphill OYO for good measure.

Sweatin’ It To The Oldies

11 PAX sweated out the weekend toxins and accelerated in the humidity this fine beautiful morning. We did 3.9 miles total with 25 squats at First Horizon, 25 plank jacks at Model A. Always look after the six and come home to your family the same way you left. Look out for each other PAX!

The Puertorican Nightmare

WARMUP: Pre Run/Walk for some, then disclaimer given with shared route and counted 15 HIMs
THE THANG: The Route roughly +3.5 miles:
Founders to Munn Rd, Left on Munn, Left on Harris St, gingerly cross over Hwy 21, Left on Jackson, and Left on Hwy 160 towards COT. Some ran trails, some did not, some ran in pairs and some did not. All Pax accounted for at the end.
MARY: She was absent yet again!

14 hours and 32 minutes of daylight

WARMUP: Mozy followed by windmills, flutters, Moroccan nightclubs, shoulder taps
THE THANG: Mozy to back of the school for brief discussion that it is the Summer solstice. In Charlotte there are 14 hours and 32 minutes of daylight today and that we should do something for/with our 2.0s or Ms.
At the “horseshoe” (looked like a sunrise to sunset) we did 14 reps of one exercise then ran the sunrise-sunset to do 32 reps. Run sunset-sunrise and repeat until all reps completed. Exercise pairings were burpees/squats, merkins/mountain climbers, big boy sit ups/Carolina dry docks, Superman’s/plank jacks, Plank jacks (oops)/LBCs, Diamond merkins/SSH, American hammers/curb dips, Windmill merkins/shoulder taps.
Mozy to picnic tables for 14/32s of step ups/dips, dips/stepups, derkins/irkins, irkins/derkins.
Mozy to field by the light tower for full field sprints. Don’t recall how many but likely about 8. 10 count between sprints then rinse and repeat.
