A run to nowhere

WARMUP: None. Do it yourself. 5 am start.
THE THANG: We ran behind and in front of Gold Hill Middle exploring some new “sites” and exploring a new .3 area through the woods. It was nice and flat and soft. Overall, PAX felt we were running to nowhere – which makes sense since we went everywhere in the dark. Just when you thought we were done with hills, we were not. Mumblechatter was as at a minimum today, but probably due to pace, although Rolloff had no trouble talking while running and Skate-or-die was faking that he was tired as he sprinted the last .1 like he was the Tyreek Hill. For the record, Rolloff probably felt we were not running fast enough.

Thanks to the runners for joining me at Pathfinder this morning!

MARY: Who is she?
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Combined with Colosseum.
COT: Combined with Colosseum. Cool new FNG named Knock Knock. Welcome!

Rockin’ it!

WARMUP: Long leg warm-up
THE THANG: What gorgeous weather. 4.65 miles on trails in front of and behind Gold Hill Middle with discovering a new .3 section. Idea created to play a future ultimate frisbee with trail running for a Saturday morning on Spud’s course. Good times.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: This is my last Q for by birthday celebration week.
COT: Get after each day! Don’t let it slip away!

OCR Practice Day

WARMUP: We did an extended full body warm-up with various exercises focused on the hamstrings.
THE THANG:
This was a practice Obstacles Course Run OCR testing our athleticism and endurance. We ran it together. There was a lot of up and down movements, running into and out of “obstacles”, bear crawls, mountain climbers, and small hills. We ran just over a 5k distance + obstacles.
I want to say that @SouptoNuts and @Headspin did a great job with a difficult workout goal today. They kept moving and were definitely challenged endurance and athleticism-wise. Keep up the great work!

MESSAGE: (My words were requested):
Topic: Pride, Worry/Anxiety, Laziness:
Has the enemy batted you down a path to destruction with some of these above?

– Watch out for PRIDE.
Humility is a posture, not a feeling.
– Worry/Anxiety:
Worry is anti-prayer.
When you worry, cast those things on God.
– Laziness is an abdication of responsibility.
Watch out for isolation.
– HOPE: 1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because He cares for you.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: None.
COT: There are some key prayer requests within the PAX for family dealing with health challenges. For all of us for humility, direction, and openness to SkyQ’s will.

C.A.L.M.

Well, this workout was anything other than
C.A.L.M. for the first 20 minutes. Comments were flying all over the place for my early incoherent 5:15 a.m. speech and demonstrations patterns. Rough start. It never let up after @Fishstix chided me with my beautiful description of Moroccan Night Clubs.
WARMUP: So we warmed up with a few of those and two other exercises.
THE THANG:
3 sections:
1. 15 minute workout with a partner; timer is the one person in the larger group doing 12 manmakers with a 30 lb sandbag
Partner rotate exercises based on timer listed above:
Merkins/Squats
Dips/Reverse Lunges
One arm Shoulder Presses with KB/Squat high jumps
We rotated through about twice.

2. Ab practice time. I will admit there was a lot of chatter in the first 15 minutes, less in the next 6.5 minutes of abs and quite a bit more of groaning and complaining.
1 minutes each:
Figure 8’s
Parker Peters
X-man Crunch
Rest for 30 secs
Starfish Crunch
21 Crunch
Twisted T-planks

3. Broga: 25 minutes with a focus on shoulders

ANNOUNCEMENTS: D2D is tomorrow.
COT: Lots of praises but also some serious prayer requests. Thank you men for sharing!
Thank you for the opportunity @headspin and @bodywash!

Is it TRUE?
Is it Helpful?
Is it Inspiring?
Is it Necessary?
Is it Kind?

NMM: (Cousin Eddie has asked Qs to share a bit of their story)
YHC somewhat laments a bit that I’ve never had a road to Damascus moment to share in testimony. However, like many I assume, my baptism has come slowly like a misting rain. Where, every so often I notice myself a little more marinated in the Spirit.

An honor to lead. Thanks for the opportunity.

A poem from the slack transcript of today’s Name-o-Ramas in The Fort:

Yea, this is what you got.
45 years. Nice Work
Doesn’t matter
I am like pleasure

This is a bit of a mix up
Cousins, cousins, respect, respect,
Just the last hour hat on cue,
most of them ran

This is a bit of a mix up
respect mathematics respect
It was intense
This is a bit of a mix up
